Jung Woo-sung Made First Appearance After Various Controversies At the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards
Jung Woo-sung attended the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards held on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Although his attendance was previously uncertain due to the controversies, he ultimately decided to participate in the main ceremony after discussions with the organizers. Jung Woo-sung was nominated for Best Actor for his role in the blockbuster film 12.12: The Day at the ceremony, set to take place at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. He also appeared as the presenter of the Audience Choice Award for Most Popular Film, which was revealed to be 12.12: The Day.
While receiving this award, Jung sent his apologies to the fans and public for his recent controversies. “I will accept all criticism and carry it with me,” he said.
Previously, Jung Woo-sung had acknowledged becoming a father but clarified that he was not in a marital relationship with the child’s mother, Moon Ga-bi. Public opinion remains divided, and additional reports surfaced about his long-term relationship with a non-celebrity woman, further fueling speculation and rumors. In addition to the ongoing rumors, Jung Woo-sung has not signed any new advertising contracts since his 2022 campaign with NHN Hangame. He also stepped down as a goodwill ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in July after 9 years in the role. Despite the success of Spring in Seoul, which marked his first film to surpass 10 million viewers, he reportedly declined multiple advertising offers.
The controversies erupted on November 24 when it was revealed that Jung Woo-sung is the father of the son born to Moon Ga-bi in March, shocking fans and the public alike.
